Vargas Fauxtog a questionable move

This photo was all over the news yesterday - 20/20s Elizabeth Vargas shown breastfeeding a baby at the anchor desk in a Marie Claire magazine interview of Vargas.

One Problem - her head - not her body. And they didn't tell her they were going to do it.

My problem is not with the photo content - about working mothers, ya da ya da. It's tastefully done. My problem is when a respectable slick national magazine does the Photoshop business in this manner. Now apparently the cutline under the photo has a qualifier. And we know magazines already retouch the dickens out of stars and cover girls.  But I still think this takes us one step closer to "fake but accurate".

Has it gone too far?
