HOLY COW MICHIGAN TERRORIST PLOT
And that's not what I really said when I read this, as reported at mlive.com:
Tuscola County prosecutors filed terrorism-related charges Saturday against three men who they say bought dozens of cell phones Friday in Caro in a globally coordinated plot involving the Mackinac Bridge.
And we wondered if it was to sell phones on eBay for a profit.
People, this is very worrysome. These guys were from Texas and claimed to be working for a wholesaler... and that might be another word for what?
Free Republic has More:
There's an annual walk across the Mackinac on Sept 4....
Now there's another link there that goes to an employee forum somewhere that has the flollowing snippets:
- Not to long ago I had some one of India or Iraq origin come to my store and wanted 40 track phones and I sold him what we had left which was a case of 12 a box of 3 and the four that were hanging on the rack.
-
A gentlemen came to mu store about 2 weeks ago and bought 29 trac phones from us and he also cleaned out the 6 DG stores within 45 miles of my store and a FD store as well. When I helped him to his care it appeared to me that he has an additional 200 or so phones already in his truck and he said it was an after school project
Here in St. Louis Michigan the State Police notified my neice to hide all the cell phones that the FBI had requested it. Two men dressed in kaki uniforms had been in a Dollar General up the road and bought all their cell phones. Fortunately my neice had been notified in advance, they hid theirs. When the men arrived they had heavy accents kaki uniforms and toting guns under their belts on in the back of their pants.
- I am in southern ohio, and both of the dg stores yesterday had 2 men try to buy all of there cell phones...
