Dems And Media and their Perspective

"The United States might be the only country in world history that reverse-propagandizes itself, magnifying its setbacks and ignoring its successes so that nothing can disturb what Sen. Joe Lieberman calls the “narrative of defeat.”

Is this not so on the money? Great line from Rich Lowry at NRO.   H/T to ACE.

General Pelosi’s Plan Criticized by Washington Post

Morning Coffee posts about the WP and Queen P.... best line:

"Aggressive oversight is quite different from mandating military steps according to an inflexible timetable conforming to the need to capture votes in Congress or at the 2008 polls."

Rumsfeld okayed abuses says former U.S. general

Now this headline is downright misleading. From Reuters.

Former U.S. Army Brigadier General Janis Karpinski told Spain's El Pais newspaper she had seen a letter apparently signed by Rumsfeld which allowed civilian contractors to use techniques such as sleep deprivation during interrogation.

That headline simply conjures up  the worst. No sleep?? Been there, sorry.

Iraqi Leader Disparages US Media Coverage

Just a little something as the polls start opening across the country.

(CNSNews.com) - U.S. media coverage of Iraq was so gloomy that during a recent visit to the U.S. the prime minister of Iraqi Kurdistan wondered whether the situation had deteriorated to such a degree during his absence that he should stay away.

Discouraging, predictable, embarrassing.
